Between May 9th and 10th our high school players traveled south to Calgary to compete in the Clearwater Cup. Fielding players from three different Whitehorse high schools under the banner of team F.H. Collins the team was able to compete in jr and sr boys, and jr and sr girls divisions.

High school rugby has been an endeavor that we here at the YRF have been working extremely hard to establish and bring to the forefront of school sports. This was the third year we have made the trip to compete in this tournament, and it is always a great time. The clearwater cup board does an outstanding job of organizing this event and always hosts us well.

Getting southern rugby exposure is a critical step in our player development and is something we look forward to every year as we continue to try and grow the game of rugby north of 60. Thanks to all the players, coaches, and organizers for making it happen. We're excited to keep pushing rugby at the grassroots level to fuel sustainable rugby opportunities here in the Yukon.
